The Freedom Net

You may have noticed that I have not posted here on The Freedom Net in a while. Well, the primary reason is that I lost all of my page rank because of a Google smack down on all PayPerPost, TextLinkAds and related type sites. Any site that used those services was quickly and efficiently wiped down to a PR of 0.

So, today I have taken the time to remove my PPP disclosure, all of my banners, etc. … effectively removing this blog from the PPP program. Now I will wait and see if Google will be so kind as to restore my PR … we shall see.

Have you ever experienced the loss of a filling? I have, and let me tell you from experience, it can be a real pain in the … mouth. I had a filling come out of one of my lower right molars that had been in there for 15+ years. Once I realized it was out, I was immediately concerned. I’ve been watching the reaction to Mahalo ever since I discovered the search engine a few weeks ago. While Live Search alters it’s algorithm to compete with Google, Mahalo is not using one at all. Instead Mahalo uses human guides to build search engine results pages. The objective is the same: weed through all the crap and serve up the most relevant links. However, using human power to generate search results is extremely time consuming. So, Mahalo’s strategy is to inject themselves into the top 30% of the search market, compiling the top 10,000 or so keywords first.

At least, that was the goal. They’ve actually reached 10,000 results pages and are now shooting for 20,000. Using stay-at-home workers as “part-time guides”, they are leveraging the power of the Internet to exponentially grow their resources and their results. So, how do they compare against Google? I love digital cameras. You want to know why? You can preview the picture before you move on. I can’t tell you how many times I would get a roll of 35mm film developed, only to have crappy pictures. With a digital camera, there’s no good excuse! Before the event or person you are photographing moves on, you can review the picture you took and take another one. That way, when you decide to use those new digital photo frames on the market, you won’t be embarrased because they won’t be filled with poor pictures. One quick word of advice though … to get the best pictures of any event, take the most photos.

I don’t know if you’ve been keeping track or not, I know that I wasn’t.  A while back I noted here on my blog that I dropped a ton of e-mail lists that I was subscribed to, mainly to reduce the amount of garbage in my Inbox.  Well, slowly but surely that pile has reincarnated itself.  But this isn’t about that.

Well, I just had to check this out, even though the opp already had it’s max number of participants.  So I went on over to www.nextinternetmillionaire.com to see what the buzz was all about.  Turns out that Joel Comm has his latest joint venture going on in a reality TV style online “show” to select … you guessed it, his next JV partner!!!

I have to admit, being selected to be a JV partner with Joel Comm would really be cool, but here’s the big deal about the site.  Each episode seems to have another Internet marketing expert come on and give some info about marketing and building an online business.  This is where it really gets useful for you and I, staying at home.  While we haven’t been selected to participate on the show, we can glean some knowledge from the guest experts about the IM game.  Tonight’s guest was none other than Brad Fallon.

OK, I’m hooked.  I’ll be watching the rest of these as they progress, and reviewing the previous episodes.  Now this is reality TV that I can get into!!!
